Well Good is looking for a passionate self-starter who is experienced in guiding the development of new business strategies for current and prospective clients in the social impact space. You will proven experience in business development with a digital or design agency, ideally with strong understanding of working with non-profit/government sector, and the social impact space.

Well Good Creative is primarily a web design and digital agency based in Wellington with an office in Tauranga. We focus on projects with partners that positively impact the world. From addressing domestic violence and mental health, to climate change, food security to human rights and equity, our partners span the social impact space, and you should have a passion for causes that contribute to a better world. Our clients may include small businesses and social enterprises, government agencies and councils, charities and larger businesses with a social good focus.

We work alongside our clients and go out of our way to help them achieve their missions through creative and strategic design and digital solutions. We’re looking for someone who understands doing business with good intent, ethical thinking, and compassion, all while being professional, detail-oriented and financially aware.

You are an excellent communicator and salesperson and enjoy guiding potential partners through proposals and pitches. As the Business Development Lead, you will own

Well Good's inbound New Business pipeline. You will connect with new and existing clients about their design and web needs and help us develop estimates and proposals to sell our services. You will be a contact point for all new business inquiries and manage the sales process from initial contact to through to forming a contract. Working with the design, development, and project management team members, you will assess potential clients’ needs and create customised solutions to propose and pitch.

Your day-to-day involves:

  • Successfully sourcing and closing qualified accounts.
  • Conducting introductory meetings with potential clients to provide an overview of Well Good's services in order to gather all relevant information about potential client projects, scope, and needs.
  • Leading the design and development of a business development plan and oversee it's implementation with development of relevant materials, presentations and in person meetings.
  • Representing the company at networking functions and other industry-related events through speaking, networking and other business-building activities.
  • Staying up-to-date with new products, services, technologies and pricing/payment plans.
  • Contributing to our business development and marketing strategies by participating critically in quarterly, annual and ad hoc planning discussions.
  • Participating in sales forecasting and planning on a regular basis.
  • Managing the new business pipeline.

Who you are:

  • A New Zealand resident or citizen.
  • 3+ years in a design agency environment or other related service industry.
  • Proven track record developing relationships with key industry players.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding new business revenue targets.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, an excellent multitasker.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to formulate, write and succinctly communicate our value, strategy and proposed solution on client opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly entrepreneurial setting where many hats are worn and decisions must be made quickly in collaboration with a small team.
  • An understanding of branding and web design/development, including campaigns, platforms, mobile, social media, analytics, and brand strategy.
  • General management experience; account management experience a plus.
  • Highly detail-oriented with numbers, presentations and proposals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and balance multiple projects while meeting quick turn-around deadlines.

  • Part time sub contractor - seeking the right person, so we can accommodate 8- 24 hours per week to start.
